A hair transplant trip to Istanbul with Dr. Güder usually takes three days: arrival, then consultation and procedure, then a first wash and check-up before you fly home. Transfers, your hotel at the Hilton Istanbul Kozyatağı and every hospital appointment are arranged for you, and the team follows your recovery for a year after you leave.
Before you travel
- Free hair analysis. Send five photos (front, top, crown, both sides and the back of your head) through the form or on WhatsApp.
- Your personal plan. Within 24 hours you receive the technique Dr. Güder recommends, an estimated graft count and the package that fits.
- Medical questions. The team asks about your health, medication and any previous procedures, so nothing is left to the day itself.
- Dates and flights. You choose your dates and book your flights, then share your arrival details so your driver is waiting.
Where the procedure takes place
Procedures take place at Acıbadem Hospital in Istanbul. Acıbadem is one of Türkiye’s best-known private hospital groups, and operating in a hospital means sterile theatres and a full medical team on site.
After you fly home
- Weeks 1 and 2: follow your aftercare plan. Small scabs fall away and redness fades.
- Weeks 2 to 4: transplanted hairs shed. This is expected.
- Months 1, 3, 6 and 12: send photos for your scheduled reviews.
- Any time: message the team on WhatsApp with questions.
Practical tips for your trip
- Visa. Requirements depend on your passport. Many nationalities can enter Türkiye visa-free or with an e-Visa; check the official Republic of Türkiye e-Visa website before booking.
- What to wear. Bring button-up or zip-up tops so you do not pull clothes over your head after the procedure.
- Medication. Tell the team about everything you take, including supplements. Some, such as blood thinners, may need to be paused on medical advice.
- Flights home. Most patients fly home straight after their first wash. Bring a loose cap or hat for the journey if you prefer.
- Currency. The local currency is the Turkish lira. Your package price is in euros and covers your stay, so you only need money for personal expenses.
